The diagram illustrates how to grow and prepare pineapples and pineapple products.
Overall, this process consists of both natural and man-made processes with two main stages, namely the farming of pineapples and the processing of crop, ending with a beverage, a canned food and imported goods.
The first step is growing pineapples in the field which has the temperature staying stable between 23 to 30 degrees Celsius and the distance between two plants is 26cm. After 7 months, pineapples are sprayed with ethylene by farmers, then they are continuously grown over the next five months with sun. At the end of the period, the pineapples are harvested with the demand of 30 centimeters high and 2 kilogram weigh.
Once collecting pineapples wholly, they are transported to a company to start the process of making products. The next step is cleaning them under water to remove any stems and soil. When this step is complete, pineapples are sorted into three types of size. In terms of smallest and medium-sized pineapples, they are cut the tops and rinds. Then, while the smallest ones are sent into a presser to make juice, the medium-sized pineapples are sliced into thin pieces and small chucks to be canned. In contrast, the biggest pineapples are covered with wax before being placed into crates to be imported.
