This report examines the general research process as presented by the diagram. Generally, there are eight stages, from initial thought about research to the preparation of a report.
The activity commences with the generation of research ideas, most probably through previous researchers, which may be based on personal experience or own curiosity about an object. With this basement, research questions should be developed. Then, research methodology can be designed based on the research question. Further, methodology can be developed through identifying readership.
Upon reading the previous related research reports, sources of information and methods of obtaining it can be identified. Subsequently, data must be collected through relevant sources. Next, the data should be analysed according to the research methodology. As a final step, a report can be developed, including findings, conclusions, recommendations, and implications.
All in all, the identification of research questions and methodology are key factors in the research process.
