The production of sugar in germany is a hard tedious process; morover, supplying supermarkets aswell as restaurants adds on to the difficulty of the task.
Sugar comes from a plant known as Sugarcane, which is planted then harvested, and it must come from a tropical region. Once the Sugarcane has been grown and collected, the juice is then extracted through a crusher followed by filtering it to collect the raw sugar. Once this step is completed the raw sugar is imported into Germany which is where they fully purify the raw sugar through heat and filtering. After the purification process is over, the syrup is then crystallized and dried whcih gives us what we commonly use as sugar. Since the sugar is sent to supermarkets and restaurants afterwards they must package and deliver the final product to these businesses.
When german companies produce sugar they must follow specific steps before being able to finally deliver the sugar to business.
