The diagram illustrates the working mechanism and the structure of a simple solar panel
From an overall perspective, it is evident that the solar panel is relatively simple, consisting of two main distinct components, namely a box and a transparent top. In addition, the solar panel is used to heat air and water and each process undergoes various significant stages.
In terms of the construction of the solar panel, it has a rectangular container, with the surface layer made of transparent glass. There is an inlet and an outlet on either side of the container, allowing water and air to flow through the system. Additionally, a water pipe is added below the transparent glass in the process of heating water.
Turning to the process of heating air by solar energy, it involves three main stages. Initially, cool air which goes through the inlet is heated by sun rays absorbed via the transparent top, and this air comes out of the outlet. By contrast, the process of using the sun’s energy to heat water is more complex than the former. Cool water which goes through the inlet connecting with the box is heated by natural sunlight. Subsequently, this water flows into the water pipe and comes out of the outlet, being ready for consumption.
