From the map we can see that there were a few main changes. In 1967, Felixstowe had a golf course positioned in the top left corner, near a high street that had several shops. To the right of the high street was farmland, indicating the presence of agricultural features. The lower section of the diagram showcased dunes, a hotel, a café, a fish market and a pier named “Marina.”
The second map indicates the construction of significant commercial facilities. The most noticeable change is that farmland in the northeast of Felixstone has transformed into residential area. Another striking change is that the high street has added in more shopping malls as well as apartments, reflecting commercial needs. One further development is that a swimming pool was also added to the upper section of the tennis court. In addition, the bottom section saw a reconfiguration as well; the fish market was replaced by a public beach and a private beach.Lastly, the golf course to the northwest of the city has not been changed.
