The map below gives information about changes in design of Sawry district that took place between 1920 and 2020.
Overall, district saw significant changes in terms of commercial and residential facilities. District became more urban and less rural after reconstruction.
In 1920, there were oak avenue in the heart of the town and north of it, Tulebug Bros. Canney was located. After construction it was altered into Yang Office Complex and greenery around this building remain unchanged. Moreover, besides this office, there were a number of houses which saw a reduction in numbers with introduction of new housing apartments after many years. Additionally, elmwood river to the north south of the district had a beach in the past which was replaced by bike path afterwards and new pathway was paved with bridge between two sides of the river providing easy access for local people.
Looking at the southern border, the previously undeveloped edge of the town underwent major transformations, with green fields being replaced by a number of commercial areas and housing units. Additionally, Prestwich Primary School was relocated at the expense of cutting down trees, in order to give a way for a new Lonoco petrol station at its former location. The last significant change was increasing number of houses and reconstructing new shops around housing apartments.
