Overall, the lifecycle of the salmon has seven development phases l. It starts with hatching of eggs in fresh water and ends by formation of spawn fish which eventually dies.
In the beginning stage, salmon fish lays eggs in fresh water and lasts for about 3 months. After hatching, it turns to an alevin that looks like a baby fish projection which feeds off the yolk sac. Several weeks later, Fry is formed that looks like young fish, 5 to 10 weeks old and can swim. Later, it is several months old and formed into Parr developed with finger like markings on its skin.
Parr now transformed into new species smole, looks like 1 to 3 years old. It makes a group and heads out to the sea for living. The fully grown adult spends 1 to 6 years in the sea. Then, spawning adult spawn in fresh water and within 2 weeks it dies after spawning completing the lifecycle of a fish named salmon.
