Overall, this is contineous process, comprises of 7 phases. It initiate with a adult salmon fish laying eggs in fresh water and terminate with emergence of a adult salmon fish that continue the cycle
To commence with, the process begin with spawning adult salmon fish laying eggs in fresh water. After spawn adult salmon fish die within 2 weeks. In about 3 months eggs hatches in water. The hatched salmon, now called alevin, which contain a yolk sac attach to its body from which they get nutrition for several weeks. Afterwards, when the yolk sac absorbed, fish become fry which is 5 to 10 weeks old and can swim as fins are completely develops.
Subsequently, as fry grows, it develops into parr that is several month old, finger markings develops on its body at this age. After that, parr then transform into smolt, which is 1-3 years old. At this stage, they group together and migrate from fresh water to sea. Following that, smolt underscent certain developmental changes and at last adult salmon fish is develop. Adult salmon fish spends 1 to 6 years at sea. Finally, adult salmon fish grown up into spawn’ fish. Spawning adult salmon fish lay eggs and die within 2 weeks.
