Writing Task 1

The given pictures show the life cycle of silkworm and also the stages of the production of silk cloth.

From overall perspective, the first image consists of five different steps which elaborate the growth of silkworm from egg and the second is six steps pictorial representation for manufacturing of cloth.

The life cycle of silkworm begins from the eggs laid by mother and these are transferred into larva in the next 10 days. After this period, the larva eats food like mulberry leaf and converted into silk treads in next 4 to 6 weeks. The fourth step includes of the production of cocoon from silk treads in three to eight days and after sixteen days, it finally becomes moth which again laid eggs and re-start the life cycle.

In second diagram, the process starts with selecting of silk treads and after the selection, the material is boiled in water then unwind. After unwinding, the treads become 300 to 900 meter long. These are twisted, dyed and finally weaved to form silk cloth. The twisting, dying and weaving are done again and again to produce skill cloths.
