The diagram provides information about the main steps in the development of a Silkworm.
Overall, as can be seen, there are 4 main steps in this process, beginning with the female silkworm lays egg on a leave and ending with being a fully grown silkworm.
It could be noticed that, first of all, the female silkworm lays egg on a leave. After a few day, the egg hatches into a silkworm larva and the food that larva eat is mulberry leaf. Next, after 4 to 6 weeks, the larva spit silk thread to cover it own self.
In the next stage, in 3 to 8 days, the larva is fully cover with silk and turn to cocoon. At this point, the larva breaks the cocoon and transforms to a young adult silkworm. Finally, the young adult silkworm become bigger and stronger, it become a mature silkworm and the life cycle repeats.
