The diagrams compare three main reasons why employees choose to work from home and the proportion of time men and women spent working from home in 2019.
Overall, the most significant reason for working from home for both men and women was to save money. However, the proportion of men working from home for the reason of easier childcare was the least. In addition, the time men worked at home for more than 30 hours per week accounted for the largest percentage, while females mostly worked from home under 10 hours a week.
Regarding the main reason for working at home in 2019, the number of men and women who tended to choose to work from home was impressively common with 45% and 42%, respectively. On the other hand, the number of males who had the reason for being more productive was double compared to women with 24% and 11%, respectively. In general, the percentage of females working at home to easily take care of children was nearly 7 times more than men. More specifically, for this reason, men only made up a minimum percentage of 4% and women made up more numerous for 26%.
In terms of hours worked from home in the year 2019, the quantity of time males worked at home for under 10 hours per week was very slightly at 3%,whereas women was remarkably at 74%. In contrast, the proportion of time males worked at home over 30 hours was an excessive amount compared to females with 81% and 6%, respectively. Furthermore , the 10 to 30 hours per week category shows fewer marked differences.
