The schematic plans illustrate the production of cement and its crucial role in concrete-making process. There are five man-made stages at cement production, which involve using raw materials. Meanwhile making concrete is a one phase process that consists of mixing four components in rotating concrete mixer. However, both of processes are linear.
At the first stage of cement production limestone and clay are crushed and resulting powder is then mixed. Following that, the mixture is passed through rotating heater. Once heated, this mass is passing through a grinder. After that, the final product appears. Now that cement has been produced, it is packaged into bags.
Next, concrete is made up of half gravel, a quarter sand, less than a fifth of previously produced cement and a tenth water. All of these ingredients are then added together in concrete mixer and rotated until concrete, which is the end product in the process, is ready to be used for construction perposes.
