Overall, the consumption was higher in men as compared to women throughout age groups, and in terms of a particular age bracket, the 18-34 year group ranked highest in eating junk food, while people above 65 years of age eat the least amount.
In the 18-34 year bracket, around 17% of males and 16% of females preferred to consume fast food. The amount significantly decreased in later age groups. In the age group 35-49, 10% and around 9% of men and women, respectively, eat this type of food.
The similar trend went on, and the amount further decreased to around 9% and 8% for ages 50-64 before reaching its lowest level of around 5% and around 4% among old males and females, respectively.
