Overall, the classroom has experinced significant shifts— removal of a play area, a teacher’s desk and relocation of the cupboard. It is also clear that shelves have been added.
In 2010, there were tables and chairs in the middle of the classroom, with a teacher’s desk on the left and a whiteboard, an art area, an adult sink and a child sink located on the other side. While most cupboards occupied the top corners, remaning cupboards were located in the left bottom corner. There were shelves on the left side of the classroom next to which was one of three play areas. The other two play areas were sited in different places, one on the right corner and another on the left bottom corner beside which is door.
As for today, the extra shelves have been added for book lovers and one of three tables and chairs have been relocated from the middle to the left side for readers, which have led to removal of a play area, teacher’s desk and one of the three play areas which used to be on the left bottom corner. The cupboards have been relocated to the right bottom corner to make space for position change of one of the tables and chairs. This has been followed by a position change of the door. Finally, the other play ares on the top corners have been widened.
