The pictures depict and describe the growth of a frog.
Overall, the frog metamorphs from spawn to an adult ,and undergoes various transformations in between.
Firstly, the entire life-cycle of a tadpole till it matures into a frog, occurs in water bodies like lakes and ponds. The cycle begins with the mating of adult frogs, which results in the birth of frog spawn. This frog spawn icubates for awhile and hatches into tadpoles. A week old tadpole is much larger in comparision to a newly-hatched tadpole. At six weeks, the external gills completely disappear. Upon reaching the eight week, the tadpole forms hind legs.
By week twelve, the front legs are formed and the tail shrinks. At this point, the almost developed tadpole displays a heavy resemblance to a frog. At a certain stage in it’s growth, the tail almost completely disappears and the frog will hop out the water onto the land.
