The graph shows the median time spent on social media of four different application from the time period of 2016 to 2020.
Overall, the time spent for facebook decreases over the year, having it’s peak on 2016 and lowest in 2020. The time spent on twitter increases smoothly over time from 2016 till 2020 and the time spent on other social media is fluctuating over the time period.
Firstly, the time spent on facebook was aroung 25 minutes in 2016 and it decresed over time and finally got down to around 5 minutes in 2020. Secondly, users spent on average over 20 minutes on twitter in 2016 and in 2020 they spent over 40 minutes on average on twitter and reached it’s highest.
On the contrary, the instagram and snapchat showing some undulation between this period. For instagram, in 2016, average time spent was above 20 minutes and rose to above 40 in 2017. However, it decreased in 2018 & 2019 and again rose to around 35 minutes in 2020. For snapchat, average time spend was just above in 2016 and it had gradually risen to around 45 in 2019 and reached it’s peak. At last, it had a significant drop in 2020 and became just over 10.
