The pie chart compares five sources of energy (oil, coal, hydroelectric power, nuclear power, and natural gas)in terms of their consumption in USA from 1980 to 1990.units are measured in percentages.
It can be seen that oil consumption remained the largest source of enegy in both years, although it’s usage declined. While natural gas and coal follow similar pattern.of particularl note is oil, which surpassed other source of energies thereby emerged as the most popular source of enegy.
Starting with declined, oil consumption dominate as a largets source of energy making up 42 % in 1980,despite it’s usage decreased and accounted for 33 % in 1990.Albeit as much slower rate , natural gas reduced its consumption tangibly from 26 % to 25 % over a decade . In contrast, coal and nuclear power slightly increased ,albeit with same levels .both source of energies increased for 5 %.on the other hand ,the figure of hydroelectric power stood up without any significant change in its consumption, constantly remaining at just 5 %
