Overall, it is clear that American’s people were more likely spend their money on food and cars more than the other remaining categories . Moreover, the least proportion of expenses was on books and computers .
To begin with, In 1996 the greatest percentage of expenditure was on cars ,at 45% of the total expenses .while In1966, American individuals spend most of their budget to purchased food ,at 44% of the total expenditure .Meanwhile,the rate of spending on this category in 1966 dramatically decreased ,at 14% .In terms of restaurants ,there was asignificant rise in 1996 ,at 14%.
In both years , the least percentage of expenses was on computers and books were exactly the same ,at 1% of the toral spending .
