The line graph and the bar graph provide data about Global digital 3D screens and Global 3D film house releases in different periods starting from 2005 until 2012.
In general, it is seen that both International virtual 3D screens and Global 3D cinema releases experienced an upward trend. Animation was popular initially; however, since the introduction of live-action, the popularity of the program slowly deteriorated.
In late of 2005 until 2008, the Global cyber 3D screens increased gradually to under 5,000 pieces. However, in 2011, the number had dramatically increased to just under 40,000 in quantity which previously rose to 10,000 pieces in 2009.
The animation was the only cinema production from 2005 until 2007 which was under 5 release. In 2008, live-action came into being and was released along with animation which rose gradually to above 5 releases. In 2009 until 2010, the number of 3D cinemas climbed to approximately 25 releases. In 2011 until 2012, the figure increased to more than 70 releases in which live action overtook animation in popularity at the end of the period.
