Two different Australian cities were illustrated its average daily highest and lowest temperatures in the line graph and the average rainfall days each month in the bar chart.

Overall, the position of all four categories in the line graph did not change throughout the period. Brisband consistently recorded higher maximum and minimum temperature than Canberra; furthermore, the two cities appeared to be colder in the middle of the year and hotter at the former and latter part. Notably, in the bar chart, while Brisband’s figures fluctuated considerably, Canberra’s average days with rainfall stayed relatively stable excluding months in the mid-year period.

Starting with the line graph, Brisband and Canberra average hottest temperature was comparable around 28 degree; by contrast, the coldest temperature in Brisband constituted approximately 21 degree while Canberra’s was merely 13 degree. From February to June, both citie’s figures decreased gradually and hit rock bottom in June but Brisband recoreded the highest degree in February with precisely 30 degree, nearly 3 degree hotter than Canberra’s peak. Brisband lowest figures was approximately 20 times higher than Canberra’s lowest, but Canberra’s highest is fairly comparable with Brisband’s lowest atexactly 10 degree. In the latter part of the period, all four categories increased until they reached the same figures as the former part of the period.

Moving on to the bar chart, Brisband and Canberra showed different trends. Average rainfall days in Brisband reached its peak at average 14 days monthly in the first 3 months in the year but declined at a fast pace to under 8 days in the middle part of the year. The figure stayed unchanged until the last three months when it escalated to an average of 12 rainfall days. By contrast, Canberra’s figure stayed relatively stable in the former and latter part of the year with approximately 7 rainfall days in average. The mid-year period including June, July, August and October stood out at average 10 rainfall days, being the most rainy months in Canberra.
