The graph compares the maximum and the minimum temperatures between two cities, namely Brisbane and Canberra. The given chart presents data on the average precipitation in these two mentioned Australian cities.
Generally, the maximum and minimum degrees in Brisbane are higher than those in Canberra. Interestingly, whereas Brisbane is the city exhibiting a higher pattern for the average number of rainy days from December to May, Canberra receives more rainfall between June to November.
As can be easily seen from the graph, both Brisbane and Canberra’s maximum temperatures hover around 27 to 30 degrees initially before declining steadily to around 20 degrees in April. Despite minor fluctuations in the next 3 months, the maximum temperature in Brisbane is still higher than in Canberra and rising back to the initial level in December. Meanwhile, the figure for Canberra dips to a low of 10 degrees in July before increasing gradually to axpproximately 27 degrees in the final month. The comparable pattern is observed in the minimum temperatures. Specifically, while the temperature in Brisbane is slightly above 20 degrees in January, this figure decreases gradually and reaches its lowest point at 10 degrees in July. After that, the minimum temperature rises sharply to the previous level at 20 degrees. Particularly, Canberra witnesses a similar trend, with the highest and lowest level being at 15 and practically 2 degrees, respectively.
Regarding the chart it is evident that the average number of rainy days in Brisbane fluctuates marginally in the first three months at 11 to 14 days before decreasing remarkably and remaining constant from June to September at the lowest point. This trend increases again between October and December, representing 12 days. Significantly, Brisbane has more rainfall, nearly doubling its figure for Canberra from January to March. In contrast, Canberra receives more rainy days over a period of 4 months from June with the temperatures remaining the same at 10 days. Additionally, the figures are more stable, with just 7 or 8 days with rainfall from November to May and 6 days in the last two months.
