Overall, while Social Science is the most popular among students, both genders show less interest in Agriculture. Females prefer studying social subjets, meanwhile male students attend Engineering, and Science and Maths more.
About 7,000 students enrolling Social Sciences in total, making it the most prevalent subject. This consists of about 4,000 female students, which is nearly 1,500 higher than the number of male students in this field. Engineering is the second popular subject among male students, with over 2,000 of them studying this, more than doubling the number of females. However, the total number of engineering students is about 3,000 lower than Social Sciences.
Female students choose to study Health and Humanities more than males, with around 1,800 females and just below 1,000 males attending each subject. The figures for the student number enrolling in Science and Maths also show a difference between these genders. Over 1,000 male students choose this subject meanwhile there are just 800 of females. The total number of these three subjects has slight differences, raging from about 2,000 to 2,500. Agriculture has the least number of students, acounting for about 200 for each gender.
