The chart compares the number of students studying in different faculties at a particular university.
Overall, social sciences are the most popular choice among both genders, while agriculture remains the least popular subject. Females choose social sciences and health the most, whereas engineering as well as science and math are dominated by males.
7,000 students are recorded in the faculty of social sciences, 4,000 of whom are females. Engineering ranks second with 3,000 students: males outstrip their female counterparts slightly, with respective numbers of about 2,100 and 1,000. By contrast, agriculture has the fewest students, which also stands out in that the numbers of male and female students are on par at 250 each, making up 500 in total.
The difference between the total numbers recorded in health and humanities is negligible, though gender gaps are notable: while men constituted the smaller portion at 1,000, females accounted for around 2,000. Science and math show the opposite pattern, with about 1,000 males compared with 800 females.
