The chart shows how many students of a university chose 6 different subjects in 2012.
Overall, it is clear that social science was the most popular choice while agriculture was the least. Additionally, Social sciences, health and humanities were chosen by more female students than male, while the opposite was true for the remaining subject except agriculture which has the same number of students from both sexes.
Regarding majors that were chosen by more female students, Social science was chosen by a total of 70000 students (40000 females and 30000 males), making it the most popular option, but less than half of that amount of students, at around 25000 (15000 female and 10000 male), picked either humanities or health.
As for the other subjects, 30000 students majored in engineering, of which two third were males, at around 20000. Similarly, the number of male students choosing science and math were also twice that of their female counterparts, at 15000 compared to 5 thousand. Finally, there were less than 10000 students who chose agriculture, making it the subject with the least number of students.
