The line graph shows the total sales of various types of jam produced by a particular company between 2009 and 2014
Overall, it is evident that almost all categories recorded an upward trend, with the exception of plum jam, which bucked the trend by decreasing significantly over the period. It is also noteworthy that strawberry jam became the most dominant category by the final year.
In detail, the sales of raspberry and grape jam were slightly different in the initial year, at just over 3 million and exactly 3 million units respectively. Over the following years, both figures experienced a steady increase, although raspberry jam saw a slight drop in 2012 before rising again to reach a peak by 2014.
Turning to strawberry and cherry jam, both showed a similar upward trend. In 2009, strawberry jam sales were higher than those of cherry, at approximately 2.7 million units compared to 1 million. After that, both figures increased dramatically, reaching around 6.5 million and just over 4 million respectively by the end of the period. In contrast, plum jam started at about 2.5 million units in 2009 but declined sharply, falling to nearly zero in the final year.
