In general, it can be visualised that in 1970 percentage of resident in urban area was lowest in Indonesia while the highest ratio will be in Malaysia in year 2040.

In 1970 percent of total population living in Malaysia was 30% and reached about 40% in the year 1990. The proportion of residents increased significantly by 10% in each year reached 70% till the year 2010. In 2020 again percent of population grew in cities that was nearly 75%. The ration was gradually increased without decline. The projection of percentage of population will be increase about 85% in year 2040. Similarly, Indonesia saw remarkable increases in their urban population % raised from 15% to nearly 30% in year 2000. Again further growth reached about 50% In year 2020. The drastic rise in ratio of population will be faced to 60% in future in the year 2040.
