The given line chart illustrates the changes in the banana price in four different countries from 1994 to 2004.

Overall, Japan and France were witnessed the upward trend in 2004, however, both Germany and the USA not even changed. Meanwhile, Japan was the wildest fluctuation, while the remaining countries had a relatively steady up to 2001.

Japan reached the highest price throughout the period, with initially under 2 dollars, then it significantly increased to about 3 dollars in 1995 and dramatically decreased to 2 dollars in 1996. Additionally, Japan’s price was only under France’s price in 2001 before sharply rose to over 2.5 dollars in 2004. The price of bananas in France stabilized around 1.5 dollars between 1994 and 1999, after it stood at the lowest price, with just about 1 dollar, and recovered at 1.5 dollars again in 2004.

Germany’s banana price started at almost 1.5 dollars, and it experienced fluctuated around this point before staying at over 1 dollar in the last 3 years. The USA had the smallest price, which was under 1 dollar, and slightly changed in the range of 1 to 1.25 dollar up to 1999. Besides, it continued to stable in this price in the remaining years, but still lower than Germany.
