The line graph compares the amount of money spent for banana in different countries ( Japan, France, Germany ,and the USA) over a 10-year period, from 1994 to 2004.Overall, Japan and France experienced substantial fluctuation in banana prices over the period, while the figures for Germany witnessed slight decline and those for the USA increased sharply and remained relatively stable. By the end of the timeframe, in Japan, banana prices had become the leading country in period.
Both Japan and France witnessed an impressive upward trends over the given period. In Japan, banana prices for per kilogram increased dramatically from just above 1.90 dollar in 1994 to around 2.90 dollar in 1995, and dominating in banana prices. And then, its figure fluctuated over 8 years, finished at 2,50 dollar in 2004.Meanwhile, France followed a smilar pattern, remaining stable over 3 years, from 1994 to 1997. And then, its figure fluctuated and reached about 1.70 dollar for per kilogram of banana and became chart high of banana prices. Following this, France witnessed a significant decrease in banana prices. However, its figure rocketed dramatically from around 1.00 dollar to 1.60 dollar for per kilogram from 2003 to 2004. At the end of the period, both Japan and France became the most popular countries in banana prices.
In contrast, banana prices in Germany remained relatively stable. The cost of banana starting at 1.40 dollar for per kilogram in 1994, the figure rose modestly to about 1.50 dollar before declining to 1.20 dollar in 2000.Following this, its figure increased gradually and declined significantly, finished at 1.10 dollar for per kilogram of banana. If we look at the USA, at the beginning of the period banana prices increased significantly from 0.80 dollar for per kilogram in 1994 to around 1.10 dollar in 1996. And its figure saw a slight decline. Next ensuing years, banana prices in the USA remained stable until the end of the period, finished at 1.10 dollar for per kilogram of banana in 2004.
