Manufacturing, which was the highest amongst other sectors reached a peak of 20 millions in 1980. After climbing significantly the figure declined considerably at around 13 millions by the end of the period. Moreover, jobs in the agriculture sector reduced substantially by 4 millions ( from 6 millions to 2 millions) in 2020.
However, retail sector experienced an enormous increase in 2020, at about 16 millions. Although healthcare registered the lowest number at the beginning, this figure grew dramatically at the end of the period. This sector experienced the same number of jobs as retail sector in 2020.
