The line graph provides data from a 2008 report regarding the use of energy (coal, petrol and oil, natural gas, nuclear, solar and hydropower) ij the United State since 1980 and also the prediction of 2030. Units are measured in quadrillion.
Overall, it is very clear that petrol was rulling in the beginning of the period and, despite some fluctuations it rose and predicted to be most used in future as well. Similarly, coal also shows steady rise throughout the given period. In contrast, hydropower was least used and anticipated to be in less use.
In 1980, almost 40 quadrillion petrol and oil was consumed by US which fall slightly to 30 quadrillion in 2085 just to rose roughly 40 quadrillion in 2025 and is forecasted to reach more than 45 quadrillion in 2030. Nuclear solar and hydropower were least consumed energy in 1980, nearly 5 quadrillion each, nuclear energy shows slight difference and rose almost 10 quadrillion in 2025 and will stay steady throughout the given time period whereas, hydropower was and will consumed less then 5 quadrillion.
20 quadrillion nuclear gas was used in the begging that shows fluctuations till 2015 just to remain stable over the time, in contrast coal was on the third position of most consumed energy, roughly 20 quadrillion in 1980 which rise up in 1990 more than 20 quadrillion and forecasted to reach more than 25 quadrillion in 2030.
