Overall, table tennis and musical performances are those hobbies that became higher demanded, while film club and martial arts mostly remained consistent. Regarding to the amateur dramatics, after 2005 the number of Australians willing to enter this occupation decreased.
In 2000, the film club emerged as the leader in number of participants among these activities, reaching 65; by contrast, there were not any members in musical performances until 2005. When it comes to martial arts, amateur dramatic and table tennis, the number of visitors was 35, 27 and 17 respectively. Nevertheless, by 2005, both table tennis and amateur dramatics had become more popular, after the decline of involvement in the second activity, the number of participants equaled in 2010, reaching 20. With respect to martial arts, by 2010, the figure have recovered after the fall in 2005 and reached just under 40, while citizens of Melbourne discovered the musical performances for themselves only in 2005, still by the first half of the period, approximately 11 people have joined this club.
After the some erratic behavior in the number of film club joiners, in 2020 it hit the highest point, reaching just over 75, whilst the proportion for amateur dramatics fell significantly to about 5 people. With regards to table tennis, the popularity of this sport has increased so much that the number of participants has tripled, reaching well over 50 by the end of the period.
