Overall, it is clear that Facebook experienced a significant upward trend and became most popular web site by the end of the period. In contrast, Myspace showed a decline ,while Bebo made slight increace over the 12 month period.
To begin with, Facebook saw a huge rise throughout the year.In March it was the least popular platform but on March 2008 the website became the most popular one. It passed both MySpace and Bebo in August and September 2007, reaching its highest point at about 2.0% in late 2007. After a small drop in early 2008, Facebook finished with the highest number at 1.95%.
At the start in March 2007, MySpace and Bebo had similar numbers at around 1.1% and 1.2%, while Facebook was the lowest at about 0.3%. Over the next few months, MySpace and Bebo went up and down a little, reaching peaks of 1.4% to 1.6% in mid-2007. However, MySpace then started to fall, dropping to about 0.83% by March 2008. Bebo changed a bit, but ended close to where it started at 1.44%.
