Overall, there was an upward trend albeit to varying degrees and in different patterns in the number of people in tennis, while the opposite was true for rugby, by contrast, the figure for badminton and basketball exhibited little to no change. Although rugby led the list in the initial years, tennis overtook I, becoming the dominant figure till the end.
Looking at the details, the figure for rugby stood at 250 in 1985, being the largest category in the list. During the next 20 years , However, this figure witnessed slightly decline, and reached its lowest rate, at 50. As for tennis, this figure accounted for 150 in 1985, forming the second largest figure among all. After 10 years, it went up to 200, before climbing further to about 240 in2005.
Moving to next figure, basketball started with only 70 individuals in 1985. And nearly the same number of players took part even after 20 years. Something similar was mirrored by the count of badminton participants. With an original point of about 50 players, this form of sport did not attract or lose any more enthusiasts for the remainder of the period, remaining the least favorite fitness activity in the country.
