The bar chart compares the population of Sao Paulo, Moscow and Dhaka in 1975 and 2005, and gives a projection for 2035.
Overall, the population of all three cities increased, but Dhaka experienced by far the most dramatic growth and is expected to become the largest city by 2035. In contrast, Moscow shows the slowest and most steady rise.
Sao Paulo had the highest population in 1975, at approximately 9 million. This figure almost doubled to around 18 million by 2005 and is predicted to reach roughly 24 million in 2035. Moscow followed a more moderate trend, growing from about 7-8 million in 1975 to just over 10 million in 2005, with a further increase to around 13 million anticipated.
Dhaka, however, began as the smallest city, with only about 2 million residents in 1975. Its population surged to approximately 12 million in 2005 and is forecast to exceed 30 million by 2035, representing the most significant expansion among the three cities.
