The graph illustrates a foresight about how many people will study three main world languages from 2020 to 2030.
In generally, what stands out from the graph is that, there will be considerable upward trends between the number of people who will study English, Spanish and Mandarin by 2030. Another interesting point is that, people who will required for studying Mandarin will have risen to around 500 million by 2030.
Looking at the details, as regards to people who will study Spanish, they will be around 200 million in 2020. Despite remaining stable nearly 300 million in 2024. It will experience significant rise to around 500 million by 2030. If we look at the population who will want study Mandarin, the trend will similar. It will go up considerably to just under 600 million by 2030, while mandarin will experienced the lowest number of applicant by 2020.
By contrast, the figure of people who study English will see a fluctuation untill 2026 and then will rise considerably to approximately 800 million in 2030, which mean that it will have far more candidate than two other languages.
