The line graph shows the proportion of UK households with a diverse range of technology in the uk between 1997 and 2011 Overall, the percentage of households increased in all categories of technology with CD players consistently higher, while other items like mobile for telephone, internet and DVD player witnessed more upward trend.
In 1997, the percentage of CD player was 60% and this rate was the highest in the graph. Then there was a slight increase to 70% and it remained unchanged until 2000 before reaching its peak 80% in 2011. The figure for internet use was relatively slow in 1997 at 20% and there was a considerable growth approximately to 68% in final year.
Regarding to the proportion for telephone, in 1997 they started with 20%. This rate rose to 40% in 2000 before experiencing a sharp growth very nearly 80% in 2011 which saw similar to the percentage of internet use. Finally, DVD player and DVD player began at 10% and just about 30%, and their rate also increased in the following years, with the notable exception of DVD player, when it was a slight decrease to 68. They ended at 30% and 40% in 2011.
