The line graph displays the amount of elderly people inffected with influenza in of the villages in the UK over a ten-year period.
Despite varying considerably the number of sick people has risen. Among all the fluctuations there is a significant peak in 1991.
In 1985 the number of flu cases stood at 40. Untill 1987 it rose slightly up to 55. For the next two years the count dipped under 50. However from 1989 untill 1991 it rised sharply to 74. Over the next four years the cases fluctuated reaching 60 people in 1995. At the end of the time period are reported 50 per cent more cases than it the beginning.
The first peak of the flu was in 1987 when 55 people over 65 were reported as infected. Tough the highest number was reached in 1991 – almost 80. That is nearly twice as much as the count from 1985 – precisely 40.
