The data depicts amount of influenza cases in old people in a specific rural area in the UK between 1985 to 1995.
Overall, the occurence of disease had an increasing trend over the period. The highest number of cases were registered to be around 75 in the year 1990. To begin with, 40 instances were registered in the year 1985. After a rise in the number of cases from 1985 to 1987, the registered cases drop to approximately 48 with a modest increase to almost 50 in the year 1989. In 1990 and 1991 drastic rise in the number of occurences was observed with most amount of cases registered in 1991.
Downwards trend was observed in the following years. Approximately 63 and 60 cases were recorded in the succeeding years 92 and 93 respectively. After a rise of almost 10 % in the year 94, the incidents registered fell to the same level as that of 1993.
