The line graph compares the goods transportation of United Kingdom by road, water, rail and pipeline from 1980 to 2008.

Overall, each trasport system showed an upward trend, while the most significant flactuation demonstrated in road .

In terms of transportation, by road, it started from approximately 70 million tonnes in 1980 and flactuated over the period, reaching at almost 90 million tonnes in 2008. Similarly, in 1980, just below 40 million tonnes transported by water; this amount went up near 60 million tones and remained same until 2000, than slightly dropped to almost 52 million and grew to just over 40 million tonnes.

On the other hand, UK 40 million tonnes goods transported by rail in 1980 and it went down from 1984 and flactuated to just over 40 million tonnes at the end of the period. Moreover, in 1980 almost 2 million good transported by pipeline and this amount rose slightly to over 20 million ronnes in 2008.
