The given line graph presents the changes in the proportions of precious metal pricing during the period 2013 to 2021.
Overall, the figures of palladium and gold prices experienced a gradual increase, while platinum worth decreased. Hence, despite the figures of the former being lower than the latter initially, they exceeded it in the final three years.
In terms of palladium metal cost, in 2013 it totalled to approximately $750 per ounce and a further annual decrease, after which it started gradually growing, despite the minor fluctuations. In the following years, this rate exceeded others, amounting to around $2500. Similarly, the cost of gold inclined steadily, starting at just under $1500 per ounce, and continued to grow until it reached a peak in 2020, after which it flattened out at around $1750.
In contrast, the proportion of the cost to purchase platinum per ounce at the start was similar to gold. However, it saw a considerable fall in 2015, after which the figure gradually declined. Although it started to recover in 2021, being just a bit over $1000, it still resulted in the lowest rate of all.
