Overall, hot foods and drinks such as hot coffee and soup were much more popular in winter, while cold items, especially iced coffee and ice cream, saw significantly higher sales in summer. Salad sales, however, changed only slightly between the two seasons.
In summer, iced coffee recorded around 40 servings per day, compared with almost zero in winter. Ice cream also experienced strong summer demand at about 35 servings, almost 10 more than in winter. Summer sales of hot coffee remained relatively high at roughly 30 servings.
In contrast, winter saw a peak of around 75 servings of hot coffee, making it the most popular item in that season. Soup also showed high winter sales at about 50 servings, compared with only 25 in summer. Salad had the smallest seasonal variation, with figures of around 25 in winter and just under 30 in summer.
