The line graph below illustrates the average attendence of people in high level football matches in three different European countries Italy, England and Germany over a 24 year period starting from 1980.
Overall, it can be see that England and Germany gradually increased throughout the given period while Italy decreased. At the the end of the period Germany stood at the top of attendence per match.
Loking at the data of Germany and England in the chart we can see that, In 1980 the average audience per match was nearly same for both countries exactly 25 thousand and slightly over 25 thousand. In 1986 both countries saw a decrease in the number of people attending. It fall to about 23k in Germany and below 20k in England, respectively. Again, in 2004 both reached between 30k to 35k.
Moving on to Italy, it is evidient that it was at the top of the chart till 1986. It stood at 35 thou in 1980 and than slightly increased to about 32k in 1986 and it declined throughout the rest of the period falling to just under 25k in 2004.
