Overall, while there was a dramatic increase in the manufacturing of paper, the production of timber and pulp fluctuated a lot two decades.
In more detail, the manufacturing of paper was being produced over 2 million tonnes in 1980 by 1995, continuing slower in 2000, peaking to nearly 10 million tonnes. Timber and pulp manufacturing in 1990, which started with a little over 6 and 4 million tonnes, increased to 9 and 5 million tonnes respectively in 1995 but they fluctuated.
Timber production plummeted to nearly 6 tonnes in 1995 before recovered, reaching 8 million tonnes by 2000. In contrast, pulp production hit a low of 4.5 million tonnes in 1990, and leaped to 5.5 million tonnes by 1995, and continued it is upward trend into 2000
