Beef consumption begins at just over 200 grams, sees a slight decline and then a rise to a peak of around 225 grams in 1989, followed by a steady decline to just below 100 grams in 2004. Lamb consumption starts at approximately 150 grams, experiences a slight increase before a consistent decline to around 55 grams in 2004. Fish consumption remains relatively stable with minor fluctuations, starting at just below 50 grams and ending slightly above 50 grams in 2004.

The pictorial diagram illustrates the amount of several kind of meat eaten by people in 25-year period started in 1979.
It is hard not to notice that the consumption of fish, lamb and beef felt significantly, however the indicator of chicken grew sharply.
In 1979, most of people preferred to eat beef. Around 220 grams of beef were eaten by person every week .However in 15 years the numbers fluctuated enormously and after 1994 the amount of consumption decreased more smoothly and reached 110 grams in 2004. At the beginning of the period the indicator of lamb showed 151 grams per person in a week, but it took the same trend as consumption of beef and went down dramatically, by 2004 only 60 grams of lamb were eaten by consumer. The trend of consumption of fish felt minimal, in 1979, average person ate 60 grams. At the end of period the consumption of fish felt by 15 grams and stood at 45 per person.
Only the amount of eaten chicken increased strikingly. In 25 years it climbed from just under 140 to 250 grams per person per week.
