Overall, all kinds of activities are in similar pattern. The majority of children in all countries play computer games, while fewer young children do reading. Interestingly, the percentage of youngsters who watch TV is similar in all four countries.
In Malaysia, half of young children prefer to play computer games, higher than the 40% in China. Meanwhile, watching TV in both countries cited by 30%. Similarly, a quarter of children in both Malaysia and China mentioned board games. Additionally, a lower percentage of young children in Malaysia and China like reading with 20% and 15% respectively.
In Sudan, 50% of youngsters like playing computer games, while 60% of Nigerians prefer this activity. Meanwhile, board games are the second most common activity in Sudan with 30%, whereas it is 20% in Nigeria. Additionally, the proportion of youngsters who like watching TV in both countries is equal. Similarly, reading is the least preferred activity and equal in both countries at 10%.
