Turning to Lower Secondary teaching time, the USA topped the list, with a figure of just under 1100 hours, which was followed by 800 hours in Iceland. Meanwhile, similar teaching hours were seen in Japan and Spain, all standing at 600 hours.
Regarding primary schools, about 820 American teaching hours went into this category, which was the highest of all nations listed. This was followed by teachers in Japan, Spain, and Iceland teaching a similar number of hours in 2001, which was 600 hours.
