The bar charts gives information about the America yearly normal clothing expenditure per person from 1985 to 2005, organised by gender and age. The quantity are measured in dollars.
Overall, all categories saw an upward trends in the amount of funding spent. Notably, women and girl spent much more compared to men and boy during the shown period.
Looking first at adults, in all three years women’s clothes followed an upward trend. In 1985, women’s shopping accounted at around 440$, which was the highest trend in that years, compared to with apporiximately 300 by men. Additionally, in 1995, expendature by both gender were nearly 430$ and 450$, respectively. Interestingly, by 2005, women’s clothes revealed a significant increase with still having leading position (630$), while the figure for men were more eratic throught the period and bucketed the trend to 400$.
Turning to boy’s and girl’s clothes, which enjoyed the least amount of spending in the US. In 1985, began with similar amount of money spent, at 100$ by both gender. Over the following 10 years, girls showed as much more as opposed to boys, at about 150$ and 130$, respectively. Moreover, in 2005, girl’s clothes saw a rose by 30$ (180$), while meaning of clothes for boys feel out the favour, which remained stable (130$).
