The line graph illustrates how many people participated in 4 different sports in a particular region from 1985 to 2005.
Overall, while the number of tennis and basketball players displayed an upward trend, the opposite pattern was observed in those who were interested in rugby and badminton. Additionally, the figure for rugby consistently dominated, before being surpassed by tennis at the end of the period.
A closer examination of the data reveals that the number of individuals taking part in tennis initially started at 150, after which it experienced a dramatic growth to around 200 in 1995, before ending the period at the north of 200. A similar pattern, but to a lesser extent, can be seen in the figure for basketball, which increased roughly from 80 at the beginning to nearly 100 in 2005.
Moving to rugby, approximately 250 players were recorded in 1985, with a steady decrease to 200 and a final decline to 50 at the end of the period. Lastly, the figure for badminton stood at over 50, followed by a drop to around 49, preceding the last increase to 50.
