The chart above shows the comparative analysis of the unemployed rate in the labour force in 1994 to 2004 across 9 countries. Overall, in 1994 Ireland held the highest percentage (14.8%) among the other countries where it reached 4.4% in 2004, lowest from the other listed countries.
First, Poland stood with the second position after Ireland, in the Unemployed rate, with 12.4% which drastically increased in 2004 with 19%.However, Italy and Canada had the fairly similar percentage in 1994 and which has seen to have fallen in 2004 from 11.8% to 8.4% and from 10.6% to 7.7%.In addition, Countries like Japan and Germany faced the considerable rising of the unemployed rate respectively, with from 2.7% in 1994 to 4.7% in 2004 and from 7% in 1994 to 9.4% in 2004 .Furthermore, The UK’s and USA’s statistic represents the decrease in the rate of unemployed, But for Australia we have seen a slight increase in the rate.
To sum up, According to the chart we can say, European countries are trying to improve in the labour force significantly but Poland needs extra attention regarding the unemployed rate in the labour force. Also, USA, UK seem to be focused on this matter.
