Overall, it can be seen that the number of people who were unemployed in Poland, Germany, Australia and Japan increased. While in other countries there were decreased.
looking at the countries that increased the unemployment rate, in more detail, it is evident that Poland rose from 12.4% in 1994 to 19% ranking first in terms of the unemployment rate in 2004. Some other countries had a slight increase, for example, Germany, Australia and Japan namely from 7% to 9.4%, 5% to 5.4%m, and 2.7% to 4.7% respectively. Despite the fact that Japan and Australia increased in rate of unemployment. Both of them are still considered as the one of the lowest numbers of unemployed people.
turning to the remaining countries, it is evident that Ireland accounted for 14.8% in 1994, which was the highest unemployment rate, and decreased significantly to 4.4% in 2004, which is the lowest rate. Some nations experienced a decrease, such as Italy, Canada, the United States and the USA namely from 11.8% to 8.4%, 10.6% to 7.7%, 9.5% to 4.7%, 7.2% to 5.5% respectively
